We are a Bible believing Pentecostal Church and part of the Elim Foursquare Gospel Alliance. This branch was founded by the late Rev. John Sainsbury who worked intensely to give the church a very good start. Throughout history, God has chosen and delighted in a people who simply believe in His Lordship and His ability to lead and direct mankind to fulfil their God given purposes in furtherance of His Kingdom. This can be seen in Elim’s strong adherence to such teachings as that of the Triune Godhead and the salvation of men and women through the death and resurrection of Christ.
The same source compels our belief in the mighty personal baptism in the Holy Spirit which is shared by millions around the world. We believe also that the gifts of the spirit are intended for the church of today and that all God’s people should exhibit the fruit of the spirit in their living. We believe in the personal return of Jesus to receive the church to reign in power and glory with those who acknowledge Him as Lord.
Here at Elim Church International, we believe that the purpose of our lives as individuals is to bring Glory to God. We are committed to that purpose and provide gatherings, fellowships, ministries and programmes which serve to equip God’s people for faithful living. We currently operate in Stevenage and Luton with a vision to plant more churches locally and globally.
As you learn more about us, our fervent hope is that, you will be encouraged to know the Lord for yourself and to feel empowered and released to fulfil your call and service to humanity. We are particularly passionate about ‘Building Bigger People,’ supporting them to fulfil their God given purposes.
As a church, we want to see souls come to know Jesus as their Saviour and Lord; that should happen because we witness, we give, and we commission people to serve and tell our world the message of the loving Christ. We support and work with other Christian charities, in meeting the needs of humanity locally and internationally.
